    "text": [
      "Please read this carefully. By checking the box and typing your name below, you agree to everything in it. It affects your legal rights, including your right to sue.",
      "1. Who this covers. This waiver is between you (the participant) and Mac Manhunt, a student club at McMaster University, together with its executives, organizers and volunteers, and McMaster University and the McMaster Students Union and each of their officers, employees and agents (together, the \"Organizers\").",
      "2. The activity. Mac Manhunt is an outdoor game of hide-and-seek and tag played on McMaster University grounds, mostly after dark. It involves running, hiding, sudden changes of direction, and moving over grass, paths, stairs and uneven ground in low light. It includes the game itself and everything around it: check-in, the rules briefing, moving around the game area, and gathering before and after (the \"Activity\").",
      "3. Taking part is voluntary. I am choosing to take part. I can stop at any time, and I will stop if I feel unwell, unsafe or unable to continue.",
      "4. Risks. I understand that the Activity has risks that cannot be fully removed, even with care. They include, among others: slips, trips and falls; sprains, strains, broken bones and head injuries; collisions with other players, objects, cyclists or vehicles; darkness and low visibility; weather, cold, heat and wet ground; curbs, stairs, roots, holes and other hazards; overexertion, dehydration, and existing medical conditions getting worse; and the actions of other players or members of the public.",
      "5. I accept the risks. I freely accept all of these risks, known and unknown, and responsibility for any injury, loss or damage to me or my property that results from taking part.",
      "6. Rules and conduct. I will follow the game rules, instructions from executives, McMaster University policies and the law. That includes staying inside the game boundary, staying out of buildings and off roads, tagging gently, and respecting campus and the neighbourhood. Executives may remove me from the Activity at any time for unsafe or inappropriate behaviour.",
      "7. Health. I confirm I am physically able to take part. I will tell an executive about any medical condition that could affect my safety, and I will bring any medication I may need (for example, an inhaler or EpiPen).",
      "8. Release of liability. To the fullest extent allowed by law, I give up and release all claims against the Organizers for any injury, illness, death, loss or damage arising from or connected with the Activity, INCLUDING CLAIMS CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE ORGANIZERS. This release does not cover gross negligence or wilful misconduct.",
      "9. My own conduct. If someone else makes a claim against the Organizers because of something I did during the Activity, I am responsible for it and will cover the Organizers' costs.",
      "10. Medical help and emergency contact. If I am hurt or become unwell, I allow the Organizers to give or arrange first aid, call emergency services, and contact the emergency contact I provided. I am responsible for any medical costs not covered by OHIP, my student health plan or other insurance.",
      "11. My personal information. The Organizers collect my name, email (if I give one), emergency contact details and this signed waiver only to run the Activity, keep players safe and keep a record of this waiver. Only club executives can see them. They are never sold, and are shared only with emergency services or McMaster University when needed for safety or an incident report. They are kept only as long as needed for these purposes.",
      "12. Photos and video. Photos and video may be taken during the Activity and shared on the club's website and social media. If I don't want to appear in them, I will tell an executive at check-in, and the club will not post photos where I can be identified.",
      "13. The HUNTR app. If I use the HUNTR app during the Activity, the app's own terms and privacy policy also apply. I will stay aware of my surroundings when using my phone.",
      "14. Age. I am 18 or older. If I am under 18, I will not take part until a parent or guardian has also signed a paper copy of this waiver, which I can get from an executive.",
      "15. Signing. Typing my name and checking the box has the same effect as signing this waiver by hand. This waiver is governed by the laws of Ontario and of Canada that apply there. If any part of it is found invalid, the rest still applies.",
      "I have read and understood this waiver. I know I am giving up legal rights by agreeing to it, and I agree voluntarily."
